School Activities

A perfect home for knowledge

Manjolo High school is a hive of activities during the week. The activities that characterise the school include co-curriculum activities that include learning, extra lessons and reading sessions for the community members. 

The Library is one of the archives of resources for the communities since it is also open in the afternoon during the week. The school was recently elevated to being an resource centre for all the communities and schools in the district. The library is an extension of the e-library that consists of e-books in the computer lab. 

The library has been of help to the community members since most of them are not computer literate. The school has printed a number of relevant pdf documents for this purpose. 

The school continues to make available reading sources for both the pupils and the community members. 

Sports

The school also attaches importance to the sporting activities. This is to say, it avails sporting activities for the kids during all the school terms. In the first term, the school normally offers athletics while soccer is given due priority during the second term.

In a bid to expand the sporting activities for the pupils, the school has introduced basketball. This was mainly due to the push by the community members who envisage basketball as site for sporting opportunities for the kids.

Clubs

Manjolo High school offers a plethora of clubs which include the music, drama, debate and computer clubs.

Drama and music clubs where introduced mainly in a bid to promote the local culture among the pupils. The pupils are urged to act dramas that are in line with Tonga culture.

The composers of songs that are sung at the music club are composed by the members themselves. These songs are normally urged to tread along educational lines and promote the Tonga culture.
