More computers for Manjolo

Manjolo High school received nine more computers from the Ministry of Education, increasing the total number of machines for the school to 25.

The school was awarded the nine computers in appreciation to its 86% pass rate in the national examinations. Computer studies was at 100% pass rate at the school.

Speaking at a Better Schools Programme Award Ceremony, the District Education Officer, Mr. Masungo said, "Manjolo is an epitome of accademic success hence it deserves the award which is also aimed at improving information access to the pupils."

The headmaster, Joseph Ngwenya said the school was grateful to recieve the set of computers as they would indeed improve the computer-pupil ratio from 1: 6 to 1:4. He however indicated that there would be need for more computers to further improve the ratio to 1:1.

"Given the availability of internet at our school, these computers will help alleviate the shortage of books in the library which has been compromising our information delivery and pedagogical system," said the headmaster.

The community members of Manjolo present on the day also expressed their fair share of happiness knowing fully well how the computers would assist their children.
The school promised an improved pass rate owing to this development.
